Terms of Use

By using Image to Text Converter (the "service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

The service lets you extract text from images. Processing happens in your own browser. The service is free and may change, be interrupted or be discontinued at any time.

2. Your content and responsibilities

  • You keep all rights to the images you use and the text you extract. We do not receive them.
  • Only use images you have the right to use, and do not use the service to break any law or anyone else's rights, including copyright and privacy.
  • Do not try to disrupt the service, overload it, or copy its engine and models for redistribution beyond what their open-source licences allow.

3. Accuracy

Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Results depend on image quality, handwriting, layout and language. Always check the extracted text before relying on it, especially for numbers, names, amounts, dates and official or legal documents.

4. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from errors in extracted text or from your use of the service.

6. Open-source components

The service uses open-source software, including PaddleOCR models (Apache 2.0), ONNX Runtime (MIT), Tesseract.js (Apache 2.0) and Next.js (MIT). Their licences apply to those components.

7. Changes

We may update these terms. The date below shows the latest version. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
